Program Details

Dates: August 4th- 17th, 2024

  • Location: Kigali, Rwanda (Rwanda’s capital city)

  • $6,000 (All-inclusive of Flights, housing, Meals by the Villa’s private chef, Insurance, Field Trips, Networking Events and Educational Studio Sessions). 

    Financial Aid:

Significant financial aid is given to students who demonstrate need and/or whose institution covers the cost.

Academic Themes to be Explored:

  • Deconstructing Poverty, Aid, and Development 

  • Socio-Cultural Studies and History 

  • Global Business and Entrepreneurship

  • Indigenous Knowledge and Sustainability

Sample Program Activities:

  • Academic Seminars at local innovation hubs and universities.

  • Exploratory Days of the country's socio-historical context, artistic scene, technology landscape, and natural beauty.

  • Field Trips/Community Engagement to expand on academic themes through hands-on experiences.

  • Self-Reflections that encourage deep thinking and introspection.

Partnership with Local Institutions: 

  • Partnerships will allow for powerful roundtable discussions with our Fellows and Rwandan students and stakeholders.

Community Action Project

  • Students work with local organizations/actors/businesses to initiate community projects.

  • Fellows leverage this knowledge to refine their $10,000 capstone project back home.

Our Rwanda Campus

Fellows will be staying at the High Ground Villa located just a few minutes from downtown Kigali with fabulous views from Rebero Hill. This villa has also served as a learning environment for elite US and international universities such as Columbia University, Harvard University, Kings College of London and Switzerland University.
